SignBenedicta’s mission house in Colorado Springs was named for Benedicta Riepp,OSB, who, along with Walburga Dietrich, OSB and Maura Flieger, OSB, journeyed from Eichstatt, Bavaria establishing the first Benedictine mission in the United States to teach immigrant children.  Today, Benedicta’s is the home for three sisters of Benet Hill Monastery: Therese O’Grady, OSB; Susan Matarrese, OSB and Marie Therese Summers, OSB.

Daily communal living begins with Morning Prayer and closes with evening common meal, followed by prayer.  Thursday evening is our community night.  In our home we offer the ministries of: Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina, facilitated by Therese, house church, women’s night with dinner and conversation, and the ministry of spiritual direction by Sister Therese and Sister Susan.  Sister MT lives at Benedicta’s and serves at Benet Hill as treasurer, oblate director and spiritual director.  Sister Susan serves as educational assistant at Colorado Springs Charter Academy.
