Loss enters our lives in many ways: death, geographic move, tragedy, career transition, empty nest, caring for parents or grandchildren, chronic illness, full nest “again”, and many more. Our presenters, Amy Agape, PhD & Sister Marilyn Carpenter, OSB will spend time exploring the landscape of loss and the ways it affects us, sharing tools to help us navigate our unique journeys, and rituals to support healing.
Amy Agape, PhD, has been living with death consciously for the past seventeen years. A rare heart and lung condition has led her to the stage of active dying three separate times. As a hospice volunteer and educator, Amy witnesses and supports others during their final weeks and days; and as a spiritual director, she accompanies many on their spiritual journey.
Marilyn Carpenter, OSB, MRE, MA Psych, BCC is a certified Chaplain and Bereavement/Grief Counselor with 30 years’ experience.
