Program Goals:

"That the revelation of God through the Scriptural world become a deeper reality in our life."

• Introducing the bible to persons without previous Scripture Study experience
• Broadening the understanding of persons with a foundation of Biblical knowledge.
• Focusing on methods of study and praying with Scripture
• Studying each book of Scripture comprehensively
• Preparing participants to possibly lead bible study groups, teach Scripture to adults, enhance catechesis, and/or enrich personal spirituality.
      

This Bible program will introduce you to God’s revelation through the Jewish Scriptures and through Jesus in the Christian Scriptures. You will have the tools to interpret Scripture in light of the author’s purpose, in light of the context, in light of the cultural and historical background and in light of the literary form.

Class Locations are at Benet Hill Center and Holy Trinity Hope House in Colorado Springs, CO, Castle Rock, CO, Ave Maria in Parker, CO, and Christ the King in Pueblo, CO.

Tuition:

Tuition is $134 per trimester plus cost of books. Partial scholarships are available.  Ten percent discount will be given to couples and those 65 plus.

For those who at this time can not make a 4-year commitment, you may also register for one 10-week session in Year I at a cost of $134. For additional information or to register for Scripture class, please call Sister Diane Liston (719) 633-0655.

Credit Options:

• Certificate of Completion for each year of study is based on attendance, participation in class, and homework completion.

• Class Audit requires payment, attendance and reading the materials without certification..

• Year I Trimester 1: Introduction to Hebrew and Christian Scriptures and Matthew's Gospel
  (For those who at this time can not make a 4-year commitment, you may also register for one 10-week session in Year I.)

Includes:  Wisdom Literature - Historical Literature -Hebrews / Pastoral Letters -Mark’s Gospel

Classes are held from September through April, one session weekly, with breaks at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break and Holy Week. Classes begin Labor Day week.
